Job Location: Coimbatore, India
Responsibilities
- Embed with development teams to encourage
best practices for continuous delivery and configuration management and
to address missing tools and automation.
- Act as a liaison between the development teams and the operations teams to build automation and to resolve issues.
- Develop/maintain operational tools/scripts used to monitor application and system processing.
- Performance monitoring/reporting.
- System Availability / System Capacity Planning.
- Configuring
and deploying common applications such as IIS, SQL Server/MySQL,
Apache, NginX, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, software load balancers etc.
- Experience with infrastructure automation (Powershell preferred).
- Solid knowledge of virtualization technologies (ESX, Hyper-V, Rackspace, AWS etc).
- A working understanding of code and script (Asp.net, Php, etc).
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
- Deploying code across multiple servers.
- Willing to work in 24X7 shift basis.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Continuous Delivery and Agile practices.
- Strong system administrator skills (Windows or Linux) and TCP/IP network fundamentals.
- Tenacious and aggressive troubleshooting skills – if a problem comes across your desk, it gets fixed!
- Ability to learn new software, frameworks and APIs quickly.
- Experience in continuous integration.
- Good English language verbal and written communications skills.
