UX Researcher at Namecheap

As UX Researcher, you run the online usability, heat-map and card-sorting testing, as well as other studies based on available data and tools. You are responsible for all phases of the research process, from project conception to implementation, development of recommendation and evangelism.

Alongside this, you work with the Brand and Customer Experience managers on defining personas, scenarios, customer journey, etc. You work closely with other members of the BX, engineering, project and product management teams.


Your job is to produce research that allows the BX team to make informed decisions in line with company goals. You'll look for ways to leverage your findings to make customers happy, drive brand loyalty, create meaningful relationships with customers, and improve product sales and market share.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage available tools to design and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of how customers experience the brand
  • Work with the team to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research
  • Evangelize research findings through written reports and oral presentations
  • Drive product improvements based on research findings in close collaboration with the BX, engineering, project and product managers

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science or related field (or relevant work experience in lieu of degree)
  • Effective English communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Ability to work well as a team player in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a wide range of people from different parts of the business
  • Ability to lead research efforts through the entire research cycle
  • Excellent knowledge of methods for gathering and analyzing UX research data (such as usability studies, field studies, surveys, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical skills, especially with regard to observation of user behavior
  • Good working knowledge of statistics and the principles of experiment design
  • Ability to solve complex UI design problems, take action, and drive for results in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines

Added advantages

  • MS degree in HCI, Computer Science or related technical field
  • Good understanding of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Good understanding of best SEO practices
  • Demonstrated experience with global research, web technology and standards, mobile devices, usability and accessibility, internationalization and localization
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience with e-commerce
