You will be establishing processes and procedures for our products and services that match customer, stakeholder and business expectations. With your experience and expertise, you will continuously improve quality processes and procedures.
Apart from mentoring your team members, you will take steps to improve individual and team performance to enable them to achieve excellence in quality and test automation. You will follow quality programs set by Namecheap’s Quality Manager.
You will implement and monitor these quality programs in collaboration with colleagues including software development, engineering support, project operations, project management, delivery management teams and other stakeholders. As a Quality Assurance Lead you will articulate a vision and conviction to achieve total quality assurance and improvement.

Responsibilities
- Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
- Oversee
all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics,
applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes
to ensure quality goals are met.
- Act as the key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally.
- Analyse functional, system and quality requirements through relevant documentation, legacy systems and customer interactions.
- Develop
required test plans, write test scenarios, present and review test
cases, prepare test data, write test scripts for automation.
- Work
with team members of various other functions like software development,
engineering support, project operations, project management, release
management, delivery management and stakeholders effectively to take the
quality agenda forward and complete product testing on time.
- Perform effort estimation for projects tasks.
- Perform
test execution with manual and automation scripts and report test case
based test results. Log bugs in project management tool.
- Document List of defects identified and present them in defect analysis meetings.
- Take
part in project demos and monitor results from user acceptance testing
and work towards closing gaps to improve stakeholder satisfaction.
- Manage code move process, and post-code move, monitor Customer Support activities for code movement quality.
- Ensure project work meets quality standards set by Quality Manager.
- Analyse customer complaints Investigate the root cause and ensure quality check covers those scenarios going forward.
- Ensure quality tools are upgraded periodically.
- Create,
manage and share process and quality assets. Schedule and perform
continuous audits and report non-compliance to Quality Manager.
Requirements
- Passionate about software testing and has an eye for details.
- Certified in software testing & automation
- Certified in a quality practices (example: CMM, Six Sigma etc).
- Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
- Experience in all stages of Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Experience in automation and scripting.
- Experience in SQL and databases.
